There are many excellent resources on physician-assisted suicide in Galileo and the Issues and Controversies database.  We recommend accessing Galileo through Blackboard by clicking on the Galileo link on your dashboard. Use the Discover box in Galileo to search the phrase "physician assisted suicide."  You will get several thousand hits, but don't worry. Check out the very first result, your personal Research Starter, titled "Doctor Assisted Suicide." You will find a good summary of  the topic as well as a list of references for suggested reading. Now that you have a better grasp of the topic, return to your result list. You can use the limiters on the left side of the page to limit by full text (recommended), date, type of resource, etc.  This should produce a smaller, more relevant list of search results.

Another good source for any controversial issue is the Issues and Controversies database. GPTC purchases access to this database specifically for our students, however it is accessible through Galileo. Just go back to the Galileo homepage, click "Databases A-Z" and search for Issues and Controversies. Use the search box to find the issue overview. Click on the link to the Pro/Con article.  Here you will find a wealth of information about both sides of the issue. Remember, if you need help, feel free to send us a text message at 404-800-1811.
